Claire and Preston wed on October 7, 2023 at Chatmoss Country Club in Claire’s hometown of Martinsville, Virginia. Their autumn season set the tone for the inspiration, tying in sage green and gold shades against a classic black and white foundation.

We selected a hybrid of The Luminary and The Faven designs from my semi-custom collection. Drawing from the crest accent of The Faven, but the ampersand of The Luminary, we created a design that was unique to them. As we began designing their invitations, the vintage artwork of their envelope liners kept coming to mind. Not only is it a gorgeous floral painting, but it perfectly fit the color palette and set the tone of the suite. When I presented the design to Claire, she immediately was drawn to the butterfly details within the artwork - a nod to her grandmother, who shared a birthday with their wedding day. It was unexpected bliss! Black velvet ribbon, envelope calligraphy, and an antique gold wax seal embellished the suite.

The vintage artwork from the envelope liner was carried into their day-of stationery. We used this as a background to their welcome sign and escort cards. We added a bar sign with custom drink illustrations and used their crest on the ceremony programs.
