New Year Reflections
2023 - what a year! This was one that felt huge for my business and I finally started to feel like I was settling into myself as an artist. It brought a renewed sense of community within the industry and so many wonderful couples who I had the privilege of serving. This year brought some dream projects, new treasured friendships, and deepened relationships with those from years prior. I could not be more grateful for how welcomed my outreach was to some colleagues I now consider friends.
Some highlights include:
Playing a role in 13 unique weddings across 6 different states
3 styled editorial projects with dream teams of vendors
1 new print publication in Muna Luchi Bridal Magazine
Cultivating new and old relationships within the industry
Completing a rebrand that aligns with my identity as a business - and preparing this for launch in early 2024
In my personal life, 2023 was one that brought a journey of strengthening, and trust in the Lord. We were welcomed into a wonderful new church family, full of encouragement and opportunity for growth. We have started building some valuable relationships there and continued our small group - one that has met a need within their community. Steven and I both pursued our physical health in a fresh way, prioritizing movement in our weekly routines. I fell in love with Pilates and have looked forward to every class!
Some personal highlights include:
2 trips to Florida to visit friends and family
Seeing John Mayer’s solo tour in Boston - he somehow is still getting better!
Welcoming the newest brother-in-law into the DeMeo family
A summertime trip to New Hampshire to go tubing on the Saco with friends (squeezed in between all those rainy weekends)
Bringing home our Breville espresso machine for the peak home-barista experience every morning
I love that the new calendar year provides a natural point of reflection and evaluation. A time to take inventory and implement new rhythms for a fresh season. I am looking forward to 2024 and seeing what the Lord has in store, both personally and in business.
