A Look Into My Design Process

01. Connect

After inquiring through the contact form on my website, we will schedule a complimentary consultation call to collect the details of your wedding. Since invitation pricing can vary so drastically, this will allow me to create the most accurate proposal for you.

02. Booking

Using the information from our call, I will put together a custom proposal for your wedding. This includes an overview of the project, the contract, and the full invoice. Once the contact is signed and retainer is paid, we are booked! From here I will create a personalized timeline for our work together.

“Before she began designing, she scheduled a phone call with my husband and I. She asked meaningful questions about us and our wedding vision. Because she took the time to get to know us, she was able to capture our personalities and wedding theme in her designs. She also helped reduce wedding stress for us. She kept track of the invitation and signage timeline, and provided me email updates throughout the process.” - Claire, 2023 bride

03. Design

We will kick off the design phase by sending over a full intake form. This allows me to collect all of the information we will need to design your invitations. Details such as ceremony start times, meal selections for the reply card, and wedding websites are all necessary to allow your invitations to communicate the most important information to your guests.

A digital mockup of your suite will be shared, with plenty of space for feedback. Revisions are included to ensure the suite accurately reflects your vision. Color and paper swatches are available by request. Before going to print, you will sign off on a full print proof to confirm spelling and accuracy of information.

“I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted, but with just a few inspiration pictures Emily was able to design us an entire suite that was everything I could have wanted for our wedding day.” - Alison, 2022 bride

04. Assembly & Mailing

Once the design has been approved, your suite will be off to print. I will tie the ribbons, stuff the envelopes, and hand-cancel the postage to have your suite mailed out to your guests. These services are included for all clients.

05. Day-Of Stationery

After your invitations are in the mail, we will transition into the design of any day-of stationery and repeat the process! We will incorporate the same design elements from your invitations across the wedding day - creating a branded wedding from start to finish.
